HCN provides direct mental health services to residents, and consultation to staff members at Domestic Violence Shelters, in accordance with each shelters specific programming. Our treatment takes into account the unique challenges and vulnerabilities of the children and families living in these shelters, such as displacement and feeling unsafe. Assistance is required on multiple levels given the delicate nature of the situation. Working with this population is our specialty. Our approach is trauma informed and client centered. HCN's coordinated efforts with the shelter staff enable residents to move onto stable, enriched lives.
