San Francisco Dream Keeper Initiative Economic Power Showcase

On Thursday, April 14th, the San Francisco Human Rights Commission hosted a public Economic Power Showcase to highlight and celebrate the Dream Keeper Initiative’s community and departmental partners. San Francisco’s Dream Keeper Initiative is a citywide effort to invest in San Francisco’s diverse Black communities.

The showcase included the recognition and celebration of those who supported San Francisco and maintained the city’s economy through art and healing, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and small business steadiness.

The Dream Keeper Initiative works with community-based organizations and nonprofits like Homeless Children’s Network. The Economic Power Showcase highlighted four HCN programs, including the Amani Mental Health Training Program, Kuamka Community Healing Arts Program, Afro-Cultural Preservation Mini-Grant Program, and Community Innovation Mini-Grant Program.
