On Thursday, April 7th, Homeless Children’s Network held a staff retreat to connect, understand and enjoy the company of our team. The HCN Staff Retreat Committee planned a beautiful day filled with learning, activities, great food and lots of surprises.
HCN staff members laughed and bonded over games and opportunities to share learnings and lived experiences. Every HCN program and department stood up to share about the work they are doing to support HCN’s mission to empower children, youth, families, and communities towards a brighter future. It was a chance to lift up, applaud and cheer on each and every team. The spirit of kindness and empathy floated throughout every staff member making this retreat a memorable one.
We ended our community celebration by giving gratitude to Dr. April Y. Silas, our HCN Executive Director since 1995. Here at HCN, we believe in giving people their flowers while they are with us. Thank you, Dr. Silas, for making HCN a special place to be.
