We surpassed our online fundraising goal of $16,650 in December of 2022 by 16%! That means that collectively we raised a total of $19,841!!! Overall, we saw a 60% increase in online giving this year, and that isn't even including your generous donations via check and electronic transfers (ACH) where we saw a 117% INCREASE from last year!
What kind of an impact does that make? Let’s just look at the online giving for a moment.
For each $1.25 HCN is able to provide one minute of culturally relevant, community-based mental health care for children and families currently experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness in San Francisco. That means that just in the month of December we were able to support over 15,872.8 minutes, or 264.5 HOURS of additional care for clients in our Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) and Ma'at programs who may not meet the pre-established requirements of Medical and who can now receive services.

Did you know that the work of HCN doesn’t stop with clinical support? Our staff intentionally works to support the whole person when working with clients. That means that included in those hours of care that you helped raise are aspects of resource support and community building. These additional aspects address the needs of both the client and the caregiver, creating wrap-around support. This includes access to food, opportunities to socialize with peers and support connecting them to HCN’s hub of over 52 community partners.
Each year HCN touches over 2400 unique individuals across the city. As we work to expand our services to include even more opportunities for healing we will keep you in the loop about all of the amazing work that was made possible by your generosity and compassion towards people you may never even meet.
