HCN is committed to fostering innovation and cultural vitality within San Francisco's Black community. Our two distinct Mini-Grants Programs are designed to support social justice initiatives and cultural preservation efforts.

Community Innovation Mini-Grants: Empowering marginalized groups within the Black/African American community—youth, LGBTQI+ individuals, and those facing homelessness or housing instability—this program fuels social change through grants that encourage community-driven innovation.

Black Cultural Preservation Mini-Grants: This program focuses on celebrating and maintaining the rich Black heritage of San Francisco. By funding local arts, history, and cultural projects, it aims to fortify the community's identity and promote social equity.
HCN's Promise to the Community:
Homeless Children's Network will focus on targeting marginalized Black community members most in need of support—Black/African American individuals who are homeless or at-risk for homelessness.
Purpose:
This year, HCN is providing mini-grant opportunities to Black/African American individuals who are homeless or at-risk for homelessness.
Application Opens: November 13th, 2023 at 9:00am

Over the age of 18

Must be currently living in temporary or supportive housing

Must provide contact information for staff a the facility you’re currently residing
Please note our funding is limited to rewarding 10 grants in this application window. Our application window will close once we receive the appropriate amount of applications. Our applications are reviewed and approved on a first come first served basis.
Due to this we highly recommend applying at 9am on November 13th, we cannot guarantee your application will be awarded.
